Development and Innovation projects in 4fores

4fores is committed to continuous investment in research, development and innovation (R&D&i) activities. Through collaborative projects with leading companies, we develop state-of-the-art technology, giving us the know-how to design and manufacture innovative systems in the field of renewable energy and electronic systems for industry.

2014. SWIP Project:

Design and development of small wind turbines for integration into urban environments.

2015. PowerBase Project:

Design and validation of GaN technology for photovoltaic application.

2017. MHiRED:

Hybrid mini-grids with synchronous storage and support

2018. Reaction Project:

Design and validation of new hybrid high-frequency PV-wind inverters, based on SiC semiconductors

2019. UltimateGaN Project:

Design and validation of DCDC converters based on GaN semiconductors for renewable microgrids.

Motors and generators based on permanent magnets (PM).

High frequency power electronics (GaN and SiC).

The MHiRed project is co-financed by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness “Collaboration Challenges Research, Development and Innovation Programme aimed at the challenges to society” and by the European Regional Development Fund, whose objective is to promote technological development, innovation and quality research.
